Drinking in Every Bar in Town

from Brewed Gold by Marty Jones

/

about

A tribute to the many glorious joints, dive bars and venues (many sadly gone now) of D-Town in the early 2000s. It was a big thrill for me to pay this tribute and then to have this song become a minor hit in the jukeboxes of some of these establishments. Barroom chorus included some of my best pals and peers of that time, including The Dalhart Imperials, Ethyl & the Regulars and others. Big fun doing that chorus! I think "I don't care if Denver Cares/Has to drag me from the Lair" is one of my best lines ever. From Full Boar by Marty Jones & the Pork Boilin' Poor Boys, 2002.
